Juried fine art and craft Exhibitors line outdoor paths and fill soaring white tents with expertly handcrafted creations. With nearly 200 Exhibitors, there is work in a wide variety of style and medium! Specialty foods and artisan spirits are in a separate section. Relax with wine, beer, and great food while listening to live music in the dining tent. Additional roaming entertainers delight children and adults alike!
For the fifth year, the Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival is the jewel in the crown of the ever-expanding Bennington Arts Weekend. Experience a lively, arts-filled weekend in Vermont’s first town. There is so much to do, including shopping at the Arts Festival, galleries, exhibits, and delightful restaurants throughout picturesque, historic Bennington.
HOME BREW DAY: SUNDAY, AUGUST 6
Under the umbrella of the 4 Corners Home Brew Festival in Bennington, VT, Sunday August 6 will be Home Brew Day at the Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival. William Gardener, Event organizer of the actual Home Brew Festival on August 5 in Downtown Bennington, will have five home brewers at the Art and Craft show on Sunday from 1 to 3PM. They will be available for an informal Question and Answer session with the public. They will tell their stories about their beers and why they are so passionate about homebrewing. Besides all the talk and viewing the tools of the trade, there will be beer to sample. All this will take place in the Dining Tent on the shaded lawn at the show at Camelot Village.
HEALING ARTS DAY: FRIDAY, AUGUST 4
New this year at the Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival, August 4-6 at Camelot Village in Bennington, Vermont, Healing Arts Day.
The Bennington Holistic Healing Practitioners will be at the Festival on Friday with presentations and hands on massage, reiki and acupuncture and information on stress management. Come meet local experts of the healings arts. Get a massage, learn about the incredible benefits of acupuncture including pain reduction, see why reiki techniques are becoming so popular in reducing stress and relaxing, and learn more about transforming your lifestyle into a healthy one. Tentative schedule is 1-3PM Friday.

An incredible, eclectic, award-winning ensemble, Crescente enlivens the capital region with the Ska and Afrobeat musical traditions. Encouraging cultural diversity in society while engaging the musicians and audience in an interactive experience, Crescente’s vibrant sound draws listeners in and fills the room — it makes you want to move.
Bucky O’Hare and The Bucky Band is a soulful blues outfit that stretches the boundaries of the genre into jazz, funk, country and rock. Guitarist, singer/songwriter, bluesman Bucky O’Hare has drawn together a collective of distinctive local musicians to realize his ever evolving vision of the Blues. Well-crafted original songs are entwined seamlessly with classic blues, jazz and rock with a sprinkling of deep track gems.
Sunday: The Banulis, Miller & DeAngelo Jazz Trio
Bassist/ Guitarist Dave Banulis, Vibist Gary Miller, and Drummer/Percussionist Brian DeAngelo perform jazz standards, contemporary jazz, plus an extensive repertoire of original jazz compositions by both Gary and Brian. The Trio, whose home base is Western Massachusetts and Southern Vermont, perform at regional music and concert venues including South Street Café in Bennington, VT. Dave and Gary have a long-standing jazz duo. Brian has joined in and has added a great musical texture. Each of the musicians has many years of professional performing experience that they bring to the Trio.
Several food trucks and vendors will be on the Festival grounds selling a varied menu of delicious Festival Fare, including sweet and savory crepes, ice cream, and more! Enjoy fresh espresso and lattes, or a craft beer from one of Vermont’s famous breweries.

Bring the kids along to the Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival! Besides experiencing incredible art and meeting the creators of traditional and innovative craftwork, there are special activities and entertainment especially for the younger crowd:

Adirondack Dream Catcher Farm will bring their petting zoo and offer pony rides!
The Vermont Arts Exchange will be back, with the Arts Bus!
Located in the historic village of North Bennington, Vermont, VAE carries out its mission through art education programs and workshops both public and private as well as exhibitions and performances which present local, national and international artists.
The VAE Art Bus is their “Mission in Motion” traveling art studio that bring the arts to the people.
We are committed to teaching creativity to young children on up to our elders. We combine these groups through our Intergenerational Arts programs, which allow for the arts to become a strong healing modality uniting creativity with compassion.
This is an outdoor Festival, with some paved paths. Tents are set up on grass, so expect some uneven footing.
Please do not bring pets to the Southern Vermont Art and Craft Festival.
